Pest description and crop damage The green peach aphid is yellowish green and teardrop-shaped. Its most important damage is as a vector of virus diseases rather than by feeding injury through sucking sap.

Management-chemical control

  • pymetrozine (Fulfill) at 0.086 lb ai/A (2.75 oz/A product) as foliar treatment when aphids first appear. A second application may be made no sooner than 7 days after the initial treatment to control persistent infestations. Pymetrozine is a selective aphicide that works primarily by ingestion but does have some contact activity. Treated aphids stop feeding shortly after exposure but do not die for 2 to 7 days.
