Notes Mosaic symptoms in calla lily may be due to a variety of different viruses alone or in combination. Many are in the potyvirus group which are transmitted by aphids and vegetative propagation. Viruses include Zantedeschia mosaic virus (ZaMV), Zantedeschia mild mosaic virus (ZaMMV), dasheen mosaic virus (DsMV) and Konjak mosaic virus (KoMV). KoMV-infected calla lilies show symptoms such as mosaic, green islands, venial chlorosis on leaves, leaf distortion, short peduncles and discolored pigmented flecks on the spathes. KoMV infection causes yield losses and decreases the value of the plants.
